My 4 year old is having a reaction to bug bites, what can I do to make him comfo!
Question: My 4 year old is having a reaction to bug bites, what can I do to make him comfortable!?
I am pretty sure he got them at the ball game the other night, he was playing with some other kids and we kept telling him to quit rolling in the grass!. I have no idea what bit him, but I am thinking chiggers maybe!. They are welping up and itcing really bad!. Of course the doctor's office is closed until Monday and I called the insurance helpline to see if they had suggestions!. THey said benedryl and anti-itch cream and to keep an eye on him for odd behavior or trouble breathing!. All of which I have done!. So if anyone has a home remedy they know of please help me!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it's chiggers they are so irritating, WAY beyond what you can imagine given their size!
Have him take a bath or shower with antibacterial soap, then apply either iodine or campho phenique (over counter remedies) to the welts!.
Give the medicine time to work!.!.!.the iodine, campho will kill the chiggers!.
Then apply the oatmeal bath, then Benadryl cream, or maybe cortisone cream in that order!.
If you do this the itching will subside pretty quickly, better in an hour and much better in a day!.
