14 year old no sleep last night?!


Question: 14 year old no sleep last night!?
i have been awake about all night!. the only sleep i have got was from 4:30am to 5:30am!. Right now it's 5:40 and it is becoming light outside!. I CANT sleep while it is light!. It just wont happen!. I am trying soooooo hard to fall asleep!. will I get sick if I only get 1 hr of sleep!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Turn off your internal dialogue!. -- When you lay down to go to sleep don't think -- imagine a chalk board with nothing on it and relax!. if you have to buy a mask to cover your eyes so you can't see the light!. I'm 16 and I usually don't sleep for a few days because of all the school work!. But it's alright to get only 1 hr of sleep, just don't do it too often because you might start sleeping when you get back from school or hanging out with friends and wake up at midnight like I did!.

If you can't sleep not because of school work, then I suggest beating yourself up with exercises!. Just remember that you have to be exhausted and not when your adrenaline is up high!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You won't get sick, you might just be tired!. Just get up and start your day!. If you get tired later, and you can take a nap, do it!. You'd be surprised about sleeping when it is light out!. Your body can sleep anywhere in any condition if it is tired enough!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suffer from insomnia and I am used to getting little or no sleep per night!. It's fine!. Your body learns to adjust!. Over a long period of time it can't be good though, so go and see a doctor and ask their advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is pretty normal!. You really shouldn't get sick unless there are other factors!.

If you can't sleep it could be stress, or other thoughts keeping you awake!. You have to really free your mind and get in a totally relaxed state so that you can drift to sleep naturally!.

I used to have a problem getting to sleep and now I can get to sleep very quickly!.

I believe it's important to make yourself go get in the bed as part of your routine even if you aren't feeling sleepy!. It takes discipline to make yourself go to bed on time!.

I've found that routine is key!. Get into a great routine with bedtime and stick to it!. I've always read that tv is very bad for going to sleep!. It's too stimulating for you to really get sleepy!. So are other things that are too engaging for your brain!. These include surfing the Internet and playing video games!.

Other activities that are less stimulating can actually tire you down and help you go to sleep!. These are activities like reading or word or number puzzles!. I love SUDOKU it is light and challenging and really tires my brain so that I go right to sleep when I turn off my reading light!.

You don't want to be getting up and walking around if you can't sleep because that could make it harder to go to sleep!.

It's important to not watch tv, play video games, surf the net, or do other things in the bedroom!. Psychiatrists say the bedroom is for sleep and sex only!.

Certain foods can help you go to sleep!.!.!. drinking a little bit of milk is good whether it's warm or cold!. There are some different flavors of teas
