Confused about going to the doctor.... how to go about doing it?!
Question: Confused about going to the doctor!.!.!.!. how to go about doing it!?
I KNOW THIS IS A STUPID QUESTION
But I live with my grandma, and my mother has full custody of me!.
My mom is stupid and won't take me to the doctor when I need to!.!.!.!.
I am 16!.
I asked my mom, and she told me to go by myself, and handed me this little Blue Shield Of California medical card I guess!.
What do I like, DO!?
I just walk in there and be like "yo, i need to see a doctor"!?
CAN I even do it without parents!?
What information do I need!?
Will they do things like:
blood test
prescribe medication
diagnose officially
- - without a parent there!?!?
The card has a doctor's name on it!. Do I have to ONLY see that doctor, or what!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all, you need an appointment!. If though it is an emergency, you can just have a "walk-in", but even those you need to call the clinic up for to see if they can make room for you!.After that, you just go based on your appointment time and you DO NEED a parent!. Most doctors, unless they are close family friends, will not see you without an adult over the age of 18!. Again, if its an emergency they will diagnose you, and prescribe medicine without an adult!. NEVER will they take a blood test without the supervision of an adult, along with their consent ofcourse!.
I highly advise a parent to come along!. Teenagers generally tend to misunderstand the directions doctors give to you to improve health, so parents are necessary!.

Talk to you MOTHER, she can help you better then anyone online!.
Your going to the doctor's office, not a tattoo parlour, your safe, they'll talk to you if their sick they'll prescribe you medication, then you'd go home and with a parent you'd do to a drug store!. With out a parent with you they wouldn't run you for xrays or any serious medical check-ups because you are a minor!. Plus if you were in need of serious help for a physician I bet your parents would be there!. Just sign in or w!.e, sit wait for your name to be called, and then when your in the office with the doctor tell him/her that 'you throat hurts!.!.!.!.'
