Getting my tonsils removed any advice??????!

Question: Getting my tonsils removed any advice!?!?!?!?!?!?
Answers:
I had my tonsils out 2 months ago, and the advice I can give you is to plan on being off work/school for about 1-2 weeks!. You'll be in a good amount of pain, but nothing that can't be controlled with some liquid pain medicine (that your surgeon will prescribe to you)!. I wrote some articles about my experience, and you're welcome to read them if it helps you out at all!. They include preparing for surgery, foods that you can eat, and more!. Good luck!!

Don't be nervous the slightest bit, it actually doesn't hurt too terribly bad!. Make sure you drink a lot of fluid (the doctors won't let you leave otherwise), and eat cold, soothing, liquid-ish things like ice cream, Popsicles, etc!.

Oh, and a short bit after the operation, you may notice these yucky white patch things in the roof of your mouth!. It's normal!. It is kinda gross though!.

I had them removed when I was 10 I was really worried but honestly it's not that bad!. Your throat maybe a little sore but it's really not a big deal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
