I went to the doctor the other day for a check -up and the doctor started to tap on my stomach and I have never had a doctor do that before!.!.so why did she do that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tapping on the stomach, especially over the finger placed on the stomach will help to detect air or fluid in the abdomen!. The test is called percussion, and it is the sign of a good provider checking for abnormal air collection, or fluid in the abdomen!.
