Before you stand up put your legs straight in the air to help your blood flow!. When you stand up, stand up slowly to grasp everything that is going on!. If you feel like you still are gonna pass out, don't shake your head! Sit on the floor with your legs bent and spred apart, put your head in between your legs for 2-5 minutes!. Get up slowly and try again!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you are prolly having low blood pressure!. You were in horizontal position for hours!. When you suddenly get vertical and jump up the bed, then all the blood flows down to your leg due to gravity!. Since you have low B!.P, there isn't enough pressure to flow into your brain causing your brain to choked off of oxygen!. This is what's causing blackout!.

If that happens, immediately sit down not with your butt on the ground but like you are doing squats exercise!. Hold your breath along with that (which is optional and need to be done if you are having serious issues like you will pass out within a second or so)!. This will immediately restrict the blood flow to your lower half and pressure it back to your head, negating the effect of blackout!.

Don't stand up immediately after that!. Sit down on the ground, and stretch and straighten your legs to let the blood flow to your lower half, thus slowly lowering your blood pressure!. then slowly stand up and wait a few seconds to check if its coming back again!. If it does, you need to go back to the bed and lie down for a while!.

Making your body lie horizontal is the best way to counteract the affects of low blood pressure related pass outs!. And don't jump right off the bed in the morning!. Wake up and sit on your bed for a while with your feet down and let your blood flow adapt to the gravity and then get up!. Though you might want to contact a doc and check whats wrong!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It may just be that you are getting up quick and the blood is rushing to your head too quickly!. I would suggest getting it checked out, because it sounds a bit irregular and blackouts are something you should look into!. Maybe you are having shallow breathing during sleep, or something like that!. I would go and see your dr, instead of asking on here!. Better to be safe than sorry!. But the fact that it happens when you get out of bed, sounds like it may not be that serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be that you're dehydrated, or maybe you have low blood sugar!. It could be a circulation thing, something to do with the heart!. Or maybe a brain thing, like a tumor (not to be scary or anything, but my aunt had blackouts and she had a tumor)!. Of course tell your doctor because hopefully he/she would be able to help you!. Hope you feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Here's the best answer: Webmd!.com (for a general idea of what could cause this) AND your doctor (for the facts)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suffer from this as well!. It eventually got so that I would get dizzy, blackout and/or faint almost daily, sometimes more!. I was eventually diagnosed with vasovagal syncope!.

Vasovagal syncope is somewhat complex to explain, but a simple Google search of the term will help you greatly!. Here is one good article: http://www!.medicinenet!.com/script/main/a!.!.!.

Basically, there are two main nerves in your body which keep your body's balance!. With vasovagal syncope, these nerves are uncoordinated, causing the dizzines, and so forth!.

This is something that you must see a doctor about!. You could seriously hurt yourself while fainting or blacking out!. I have run in to walls and hit my head on tubs, toilets, and countertops, sometimes causing a concussion, which is sometimes very serious!.

In addition to vasovagal syncope, I also have a rapid metabolism and low blood pressure, which you should look in to regarding yourself, as well!.

Low blood pressure means that unless I am very, very hydrated, it is difficult at times for my blood flow to reach my head fully!. A lack of blood flow to the brain means a lack of oxygen to the brain, thus a likelihood of fainting!. A quick metabolism means that I must be constantly eating, or else the nerves in my body will be further unbalanced!.

There are some medications you can take to help, though it is often possible to make dietary changes!. It will take a bit of trial and error though!. Talk to you doctor!.

In the meantime, when you feel dizziness coming on, sit down immediately, and put you head between your knees!. This gets the blood flow back to your head!. Sit up and stand up slowly!. Eat first thing in the morning!. Do not shower for a half hour or so after eating!. Drink a lot of fluid, and reduce diuretics, like caffiene!. Snack every 2 to 4 hours!. See a doctor!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
