Question: How can you tell the difference between a knot or a tumor!?
i've had this lump between my neck and the top of my shoulder, a little more on my back then on top!. someone tried to massage it out, but nothing has worked!. somtimes it swells up and hurts up my neck if i sleep funny or somthing!. I hope it's just a knot and nothing else!. when people massage it, i can hear it, like bones rubbing together or somthingWww@Answer-Health@Com

A knot would move under your skin, usually so would a cyst!. A tumor Is usually hard & doesn't move!.!.!.but it doesn't usually swell either!.
Try putting on Ben Gay, Aspercreme,etc & then take 2 Advil or Aleve!.
Try putting ice pack on 10 minutes on, 10 minutes off!.
If it doesn't feel better, check with your MD; you might need a MRI!.
