It can be legally prescribed in some states but that doesn't mean it can be legally acquired!. In addition, it remains illegal federally and users and suppliers may be open to federal prosecution!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I know that some doctors can perscribe it as a pain killer, but there is still a big debate on the matter!. Some people think doctor's abuse that power and give the pot to underaged children, while others say it can ease the pain of terminally ill patients!.

I'd remain neutral on this matter, but now I'm getting off-topic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The active ingredient in cannabis has proven pharmacological benefit!. It is not prescribed, though!. Hence the cases of rhematic patients smoking cannabis to get the benefits: were it to be prescribed, there'd be no need for them to smoke it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No it cannot be prescribed!. It is unlikely, unless a single component which makes up cannabis is separated off and proved to be medically useful that it will itself ever be prescribable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It can be *prescribed* in several states, including New Mexico, California, and others (IIRC)!.

*Prescribed* is one thing!. Actually getting the prescription filled and using it is another!.
