Question: My friend has children and her home is pure FILTH!! HELP!?
My friend of 5 years has two small children and one on the way!. And her house is beyond flithy dirty!. I know its not my place to say what anyone does in there own home!. But her son is 8 and her daughter is 2!. and she's pregnant again due in september!. I have tried to clean her home on my own, but she never keeps it clean!. Its terrible she has no job, her mother pays all of her bills, and she sits on her *** all day long!. Her mother has even tried to clean it!. But it would take a team of people to get it clean!. And the other day i went to get her daughter out of her crib and she had ants in her bed and in her DIAPER because her mother put her in the bed with food, and never cleaned it up!. Also i found dirty diapers in her crib and under her crib!. Helpp what should i do i love and care about her children and they should not have to live like this!. this is child neglect!.!.!.!.!.!. i think!?!? what is your outlook on thisWww@Answer-Health@Com

Children should not have to live like that! I feel so badly for that baby having ants in her bed and diper! Wonder how many times that poor baby got bit by those nasty ants!.
Honestly, if I was in your shoes, I would call the hot line for DHS but I would also call the local police station and tell them you are concerned for the children in the house!. They HAVE to go check on the children and if they think anything is wrong, they can get things moving a lot sooner!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe an intervention might help!. Maybe if she thinks that she is going to lose her kids because of this it might snap her out of her mood!. Educate her on the bacteria and what it can do to her kids!. Dirty houses lead to bugs like spiders, cockroaches, ants, and other creepy crawly things that can get in her kids ears and with a brand new bay on the way the last thing she needs is an infection that could lead to possible death!. Put we pray that this won't happen!. Tell her that you are there for her but you can't see the kids getting hurt like this!. Have someone there like her mother to back you up!. I only wonder where the father is in this whole ordeal and why he isn't saying anything about it!? After you talk to her see if she changes when she realizes that yes she can lose her kids if her house looks that way!. If she doesn't change then maybe you or grandma need to take the kids on a little "vacation" while mom gets her act together!. If all else feel and I hope it doesn't have to come to this!. Maybe a call to CPS will help!. I think they try to help the moms before they end up taking the kids!. I also believe they try to put the kids with close family members before foster care!. But I don't know for sure!. These are just suggestions, I hope that everything works out and you, your friend, and her children are in my prayers!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Does she have family or someone else you could involve in an intervention-type situation!? Maybe if you all collectively sit her down and tell her how dangerous her living situation is for her kids, she may be moved (or at the very least, guilt-tripped) into improving!. If not, you may have to bite the bullet and make an anonymous call - telling CPS on a friend seems horrible, but those poor kids HAVE to have better! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
In general I'm kind of against turning people in to DHS for nasty/dirty houses because I grew up in one myself!. But this woman is definitely neglecting her children beyond just filthy house with the food, dirty diapers, bugs in crib, etc!.
Maybe give her one last chance (a short one) and a very serious warning (ie get help and clean or DHS will be called) and talk to her mother about getting her a shrink or something!. It sounds to me like she needs some therapy!. If she can get help and clean the house and take care of her kids without danger of them getting taken away and traumatized I'd try to do that first!.
Personally I'd be very surprised if she wasn't depressed or mentally ill in some way!. People who are psychologically normal do not let clutter get so bad they can't get to their bedroom!. When it gets that bad you're usually officially classified as a 'hoarder' like those crazy cat ladies you see on TV!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That is really scary!. I'm not trying to be mean, but my stomach turned when I read that!. Honestly, I could make an annoymous phone call to CPS!. I know you don't want to hurt your friend, but until she can get her act together!.!.!.she should not have these children!. They will have problems as teenagers cause of this and what will it teach them!. Can you imagain being one of the kids at about 16 yrs old, ok!? You take your sandwich out of your lunch box, and the ants go marching one by one ouf of the bag too!. Or some other type of gross bugs!. Who knows what sicknessed and disease they will catch!. If AIDS was airbourne I'm sure it'd be a great factor to put in there!. These kids can not live like this!. I could def call CPS!. You've already done everything else in your power to help them!. If you REALLY wanna help, do this!. No child (or person really) should have to live in that enviroment!. Seriously, take this advice!. It's not right!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
