What's up with my GP?!

Question: What's up with my GP!?
I always thought I had a really good GP, but recently he looks at me as if to say not you again, even although he has aked to see me every month!.

His usual saying now is 'what can I do for you!?'!. I often feel like saying: Eh!? Excuse me Doctor, you are treating me for Graves Disease you asked to see me so what is the problem here!?

I am doing everything he has asked me to, I don't moan, am doing well with my treatment and don't take too long for my appointments so why all of a sudden does he seem quite abrupt and give off the impression that he just can't be bothered with me!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be his personal life, he could be stressed!. Think about it he has to see loads of patients everyday 5 days a week (maybe more)!. How stressed would you be!? Ask him just say Are you fed up of me coming here because if you are you're the one who said to come monthly and explain everything you said above (not moaning etc)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can only assume he was having a bad day, for all that I have been criticised on Answers for being rude, I prefer honest, I would never have considered saying ' you again', even to the worst of the practice's 'heart-sink' patients!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i wouldnt worry bout it too much - he may have other things going on or the surgery may be putting pressure on the doctors to see patients quicker!.

he still shouldnt be taking it out on you tho, what an a**!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

A lot of GP's like Dr Frank above, are on a power trip and just like being in control of the situation making the patient feel humble to them!. I find this a common problem with old school GP's who are patronising and conceited as well as arrogant!. If he treats you like this again report him to the PCT!. Health care professionals should not be aloud to behave this way, it has a detrimental effect on patients and the patent's care/treatment is then compromised!. Before ANY person enters med school or Nursing school a FULL extensive personality criteria check should be done, this will limit a lot of this behaviour which other countries plain and simple wouldn't stand for!. Dr Frank is getting the blunt 'call it like you see it' and just plain rude and patronising mixed up!.!.and then tries to justify his behaviour! Another thing they do, and this REALLY pisses me, if they can't find a reason for your symptoms or a diagnosis, they just label you as being a hypochondriac, or after awhile they'll start saying, "it's just physiological" "it's stress' I'm sure DR Frank has these responses in his, "copy and paste" list!. Whilst we can all appreciate Dr Franks knowledge and honesty there is no justification for his sheer rudeness!.

I feel like that about my doctor!. She used to be really friendly and concerned, now she looks at me as if to say 'God, not you again' or I tell her my problem and I get the impression that she thinks 'Thats it!? Your wasting my time for that!?'
Its not like I was going a lot, around twice a year, if that!. Now i'm thinking of moving to a different doctor, there's no need for her to be so bitchy, its her job to listen to peoples illnesses and make them better!.
Rant over!. Lol x

And to everyone else who is saying he may be stressed - Its his job!! If he's that stressed and nasty to people he shouldn't be a doctor, some people just have an attitude problem I think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
