Im 17 yrs old and im sure that I have hyperthyroidism!. I use to weight 120 and now i can barely keep the weight of 108 pounds!. I eat like a horse and never gain weight!. My hair is thining, and im always tired!. About a year and a bit ago I got a blond test because i thought I had mono and they never called me and told me i had something wrong with my thyroid!. Can they not pick this up unless its asked to be tested for!?

No you should let your doctor know what exactly you want him to check out!. Just tell him you are thinking you have hyperthyroidism and he will make sure to do all the tests that are needed to find out!.

They test specifically when testing Thyroid!.A T-3,T-4,and THS are at least expected!.
Weight issues don't always mean thyroid issues,but it is a simple blood test so why not get it checked!.!.!.ask specifically for a thyroid panel!.

No I don't think so, I have thyroid problems, and have to have specific blood tests, so go back and see your Doctor, explain your symptoms, then if he/she thinks there is a problem with your thyroid, they will then do blood testsWww@Answer-Health@Com
