Answers:
I have been anemic off and on my whole life (I'm 56)!. There are different kinds of anemia but most of the time it is because a person is lacking in Iron!. For the most part Iron-deficiency Anemia is a very easy fix!. If your g-ma is extremely anemic, they will put her on a vitamin pill!. Just read the side effects to this vitamin so you know what to expect when she is taking them!.

If your g-ma is a meat eater, red meat is the best (and fastest) source of iron!. Just be sure it is lean and she doesn't have to eat it every day!. You don't want to create another problem while trying to solve this one!. Another good source of Iron is spinach, squash and surprisingly, pumpkin!. A lot of dried fruit is high in iron -- prunes, raisins things such as that!.

Just be sure to consult with her doctor if she or he should prescribe a prescription strength iron regiment!. Make sure the doctor is aware of any medication she is taking and to her lifestyle!.

Good luck!. When this is under control your g-ma will be back to normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

RED MEAT, poultry, fish, cheese, milk, eggs,
peanuts, or you can go pill form with a iron supplement vitamin also she should eat plenty of green vegetables, whole grains, legumes, leafy greens, broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus, citrus fruits, strawberries, in order for the iron and other vitamins to be affective!. hope this helps, I suffer from Anemia as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get her to eat anything that has iron and vitamin C!. Iron can be found in raisons, red meat, eggs beans, baked potato with skin!. Vitamin C can be found in citrus fruits, dark leafy greens, Kiwi fruit, tomatoes, and cabbage!. I wish you and your grandma the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
