How can I help my sons cough??!
Question: How can I help my sons cough!?!?
Hi,
My son has had a bit of a cold, I put him to bed last night and he coughed and coughed until he was sick!. (several times)
This morning he was fine!. I put him to bed tonight and he went straight to sleep!. He has just started coughing again!.
Does anybody have any good ideas how to help his cough until I get him to the doctors tomorrow!?

I've found that rubbing a little children's vapour rub (Snuffles, I think) on the chest helps to alleviate the tickle in the throat!.
When my son has a cough I opt for children's Benyllin cough medicine, which really helps to soothe the coughing!. I also raise his head a little to help him breathe!.
If you call NHS 24 they can give you a list of all-night chemists!.

right iv a good remody my polish friend gave me dat she gives to her son often its not that nice but it will help
onions and garlic steep it in hot water to carmelise it den cool it down den a spoon full shud do it,mix some sugar in wen the hot water is der to sweeten it for him!.

Coughing until you vomit and only at night could be a sign of asthma!.Try puting him in a steamy room!. Run a hot bath with the bathroom door closed to create a steamy environment then sit with him for a while!. This will open up his airways!. Hope he ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
try mixing together hot water, honey, lemon juice and having him drink it, i am a singer and that helps my throat before a concert so you can TRY that!. its kind of icky so just have him gulp it down :] good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
Try Delsym it is a 12 hour cough suppressant and works great for kids and adults!. I gave it to my son until we went to the doctor and got a prescription cough suppressant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
