Any experience with patching of eardrum hole?!

Question: Any experience with patching of eardrum hole!?
My daughter had tubes in her ear as a toddler & 7 yrs later they have of course fallen out but one drum did not close & repair itself!.

We need to see an ENT but I was curious if anyone else had been thru this & what we might expect!.

Surgery!? General anesthesia!? Anything would help, thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am a nurse in surgery!. We do this all the time!. It will be like the surgery your child had for the tubes!.The ENT Dr!. I work with uses (I know this sounds weird) but cigarette paper to repair the hole!. And a light sedation will be given just to put your child to sleep for just a minute while he does this!.He applies the paper with a certain type of light glue!. Eventually I think the ear drum grows and as it does it will repair the hole itself!. They have no pain, or no recollection of anything!. Your child will be back to normal in a few hours after this surgery is over!Www@Answer-Health@Com
