Heat exhaustion causes excessive sweating, headache, mental confusion, nausea, dizziness, fatigue it's a precursor to a heat stroke it's like a warning that you are in trouble and if you hit heat stroke stage by ignoring the symptoms of heat exhaustion you then start to experience more serious symptoms high body temperature,an absence of sweating, with hot red or flushed dry skin, hallucinations, seizure and then eventually unconsciousness (coma)!.
You can temporary loss your train of thought but nothing permanent if you don't die from passing out that is but your organs can go into failure which is far worse than losing your memory permanently!.
