Answers:
ECT is only used very very very rarely, you must go along and talk to your GP who can arrange counselling and assess whether you would benefit from some oral medication, you are depressed not mad and nobody will force you to do anything you don't want to do they will just try and help you to feel better- so please don't be scaredWww@Answer-Health@Com

if your Dr,/psychiatrist suggests there is a good chance for improvement in your mental health go for it!. in many cases where ect is used an improvement in the patients mental health is remarkable, usually after a course of treatment-4 to 6 treatments!.At 16 years of age it would be quite difficult for ect to be enforced upon you so don't think you're going to be sectioned and forced treatment !.it dosent work like that!.You sound as though you have already tried anti-depressants with no positive results but there are always other and new drugs coming out and ect could and should be a while of yet!. Asking for help is a positive start and if you are admitted to hospital ect would be the last option all other possibilities would be looked at and tried first!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
