Answers:
its normal that she gets it more when she drinks!.!.!.panic attacks are "anxiety" attacks!. and alcohol makes anxiety worse!.!.!.much like how depressed people shouldn't drink!.

the best thing to do is make her feel calm!. if you are calm, and act like whats happening is not a life-threatening thing, that will calm her down!. just talk quietly, and calming, prehaps rub her back!. and dont even concentrate on it!. get her to lye down if she wants, and just sit with her!.!.!."pet" her arm or whatever you think is calming and just talk about anything!. anything you can do to get her mind off of it - you dont even need to say "breath"!. its all mentally rooted, she is in no actual harm!.

the best thing my dad ever told me when i was having one was that i need to have the "bring it on" mindset!. meaning, when i feel one coming!.!.!.relax, dont panic and tell myself "ok its coming, but i can handel it, its all mental!.!.!.let's just do this and get it over with" and it serious worked!. you need to be in "control" of your feelings and know you are in charge and you are fine!.!.!.prehaps try explaining that approach to her!. control is the key!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

panic attacks are caused by anxiety that, imo, is hardly ever explainable!. it does cause an elevated heart rate, shortness or loss of breath and a very shaky feeling!. alcohol is usually a poor choice when someone has mood instability!. - although in my experience, a drink or two will help more than hurt :) but anyone who gets them should have some kind of medication on hand!. if not for regular use, then at least for an emergency!. prescriptions for panic attacks have been around forever - so tell her to ask a doctor for some lorazepam or a similar drug to help!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
