Why do they make a big deal about testing for aids?!
Question: Why do they make a big deal about testing for aids!?
What I mean is that when I went to the doc's yesterday I had a normal physical they drew 5 tubes of blood for whatever tests, but the AIDS test I had to sign 2 different papers!. Just wondering why that is when I didn't sign anything else for any other blood drawn!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't sweat it, just for your personal protection!. Would you want anyone to know about you taking aids tests when they pull your medical records for a knee injury-of course not!. Be thankful that there is some form of privacy rules for the benefit of you!.
Good luck and don't sweat the 2-3 day wait!Www@Answer-Health@Com

AIDS is a killer disease and, for whatever reason, you had testing!. My spouse and I have been blood donors at a Red Cross Blood Bank for years, and we have never had to sign a special document giving permission to test for AIDS; it's automatically done!.
We have annual physicals as well as a 6-month visit to the doctor and blood is drawn for lab testing!. We've never had to sign a form of any type for that either!.
I would suggest you call the lab where the blood was drawn and ask them why you had to give special permission for AIDS testing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
