Question: Hanta Virus Symptoms!? Incubation Period!?
Today, out of nowhere, I started having chills fatigue and a fever!. It feels like the flu!. I have a runny nose too!. About 4 weeks ago I helped my dad clean the garage (a 2 hour extensive job)!. My family lives in the country and the mice tend to sneak into their garage so I was exposed to a lot of mouse droppings!. I washed my hands and whatnot, but apparently I was supposed to have a mask on!. I understand that the Hanta virus is very rare, and I feel silly even asking this question, but what is the incubation period for this virus!? Are there any symptoms you should watch for!? When should you be concerned!? Thanks for any help! Also, if I go and see a doctor, is there a test they can do to check for it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Symptoms start showing up one week and six weeks after exposure to mouse droppings that are contaminated with the virus and no it's not silly anyone can contract this disease just by inhalation of rodent droppings or urine!.
Symptoms to watch out for high fever, muscle aches, cough and headache!. If your flu like symptoms get worse you may want to see the doctor just to play it safe the earlier caught the better chance of recovery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
