OOOOO EEEEWWWWW kdgadlfkgafdg *shivers* I HATE having my blood tested, i always wanted to give blood but im so afraid of the needle and taking blood for a test is much different then donating, i know if i donated i would pass out!. With having my blood taken for my first time i freaked out and cried, but it got over fast thank God!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I actually did pass out once!. It had never happened to me before and has never happened to me since!. I stood up very quickly immediately after blood had been drawn, felt a little light headed, and decided to walk to a chair!. Big mistake!.

Moral of the story -- if you feel dizzy, sit down!. Right where you are!. On the floor if necessary!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes! I pass out every time I get a blood test, and I always get big horrible looking bright green bruises all along my arm!. One time I walked out of the doctor's office thinking ''I'll be fine'' and passed out in the middle of the road just outside! That really scared me!.!.

I could never donate blood, even though I'd like to!. have you seen how much they take out of you!? If I did I think I'd need a blood transfusion after or something, which would sort of defeat the object!.

My nurse said it's because I have ''small veins'', whatever the hell that means!. I think it's because I'm underweight!.

YES! I was not donating blood but it felt like it!. It was for some test and they drained I think 6 tubes (don't ask me how big they were, as if I would look) of blood from me!. I lasted for a long time and I slowly felt like puking and I was cold and sweating!. After that guess what I did!?
I went to taco bell to get some nachos and soda XD!

[EDIT]I was told not to eat anything so, yeah!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

NO ACTUALLY I LIKE TO C THIS KINDA STUFF but i have never donate blood b4 but i had several blood tests!! the nurse tell me to look the other way but i never listen !.!.!.!. so no !!Www@Answer-Health@Com

absolutely!
I gave blood once and had to stay laying down for almost an hour afterwards!.
Advice- next time you might not be so lucky with the cute nurse!. It's a good idea to make sure you drink some juice before you go- or something with sugar, not just water!. You can ask to be laid down for the procedure, which sometimes makes it easier- less light-headedness!. And bring a sugary something with you to drink once you're finished!. Losing blood quickly like that can be a drain in and of itself!. Sometimes the sight of the needle and vials can bring on anxiety which doesn't help with diziness or nausea!. Just remember it's completely common and most people get sick during things like that!. Just learn ways to prevent it and deal with it when it happens, and never be ashamed to ask for help when you go to the doc's!.
Good luck next time! Hope you don't need another blood test for a while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is normal, especially if u didn't have any food!. but even if u ate before the test, some people just can't handle it and feel dizzy!. but in my case i was fasting for 11 hours and i was dehydrated!. and i forgot that i was gonna have a blood test!. so i nerly fainted!. i usually don't!. but many people do feel dizziness when taking a blood test!. WHY!? because changes occure!.!. blood abnormalities what it's called!. this rapid change to blood preassure, sugar, etc!. gives the person the feeling of dizziness!.
so there is nothing to worry about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
