a cold!.!.!.!.!. usually runny nose, general body aches, severe fatigue, fever, lack of appetite!.
hayfever makes you miserable!.

yep same as the others, very itchy eyes, which feel like there in sand in them if you make the mistake of rubbing them, and also dont stop being itchy for ages after you 1st rub them!.
i think hayfever is actually worse than a cold, coz you feel the exact same PLUS you have bad eyes, PLUS you get no sympathy coz non suffers just see the hayfever ads and think its just a sneeze everynow and again!

Coincidental to your question, I have just recovered from a whack-out bout of something that resembles a 48 hour flu bug!. Sneezing, coughing and loads of phlem!. Early morning I knew I wasn't going to make an important meeting and stayed at home!. By mid-day I was in La-LA land and I didn't come down for 36 hours with major sweats late in the night!.
I do suffer from hayfever and alergies and infact live on a farm!. Hayfever can be !.!.!.feverish, but what I have had in the last few days is and was a very nasty bug!. You have to be there to know the difference!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I thought I had a cold all the time or has bad sinuses as my nose was always runny and I sounded nasal when I spoke!. I didn't get the itchy eyes though!. Went to the doc and I have perinnial rhinitis( which means year round cold) which I got a steroid spray for and now I'm ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
