Hypoxic Swimming?!

Question: Hypoxic Swimming!?
I heard about this, you swim as far as you can under water on a full breath!. When you have to come up for air, you exhale your breath, take another, exhale fully and swim as far as you can on empty lungs!. Will this kill brain cells due to the lack of oxygen!? I know it might sound dumb, but i was just curious!. Its supposed to speed up your metabolism and lung capacity, and also is a good form of excerciseWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
the only reason it increases lung capacity is because you are holding your breath for so long that your body thinks that is needs to expand your lungs more so you can hold it longer!. I dont recommend you doing it!. Many harmful outcomes could be applied if you do it too many times!. and yes your brain cells can be depleted because of the lack of oxygenWww@Answer-Health@Com
