Question: Tapering off 1mg of ativan!?
Hey HLD RN i appreciate your comments on tapering off ativan!. i have been on and off ativan for a month (started with 1mg ) and tapered to 05mg and am currently on 1/4 but i am still feeling withdrawals when i try to stop!. how long does the withdrawal last and why do you recommend starting aspirin in place of it!. I am not an RN or any type of Nurse, but I was on ativan for one year and just stopped taking it!. I think that if you taper off of it the way you are doing, you shouldn't feel any more withdrawals after 2 weeks or so after you stop taking it completely!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
I assume your using Ativan for an Anxiolytic/Hypnotic rather than for Status Epilipticus!. (The same drug is used for both!.) If that's true, then yes, you can keep taking less until you stop!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
