Question: HELP im 14 and need to lose weight!?
im a girl, 14, 5'9, and 155 lbs!. im tall so i have wicked skiiny toned legs from playing all the spors i do!. everything is perfect on me besdies my stomach!. how do i flatten my stomach and tone it, and make me looks skinny and pretty!. im doing this over summer vacation i want to look hot going into highschool so PLEASE HELPPWww@Answer-Health@Com

You're a tall girl, and you may still be growing, YOU NEED TO EAT! If you're athletic and muscular, you may find that you weigh a bit more than some of your less active friends - but that's because it's muscle weight!. You don't want to get too thin!. I would think 145 would be a weight that would be both healthy AND slender!.

Now then, being "hot" for High School is an OK goal - but High School is only 4 short years - and even if you're popular, those are nowhere near the best years you'll ever have!. Why not commit to being an attractive woman for LIFE instead!?

I know something about this!. I'm in my 40's have 2 teenage kids, and (except for pregnancies) have pretty much maintained the same measurements since I was about your age in 1976!. Turning strangers' heads on the beach might be good for your ego now - But you haven't LIVED until you go to the beach and realize that the guy who did a double take when you walked past him is the SAME one you've been married to for almost 20 years!

If you care to think beyond September here's what I would suggest:

First rule - as we used to say "When you diet, quiet!" -- In other words, don't complain every time you have to pass up a hot fudge sundae - and don't be a snob when it comes to people who don't make being slim a priority!.

Second rule - don't think having a 'hot' body will make your life wonderful or make you appeal to everyone!. No matter what you look like, some guys will find you attractive and others won't!. Also, no matter how you look, you'll still have challenges, disappointments and problems in life - the same as everyone else does!. Your looks are your looks, and your life is your life - and they really are two separate things!. So look in the mirror before you leave the house - and then FORGET about it! No primping, no comparing yourself to others, no fishing for compliments!. Decide you look fine once you get dressed and have (if you choose) a little makeup on, and then get your mind OFF yourself!

Food: From NOW ON, desserts, fried food, and 'snack bar stuff' (like chips and fries) are TREATS - enjoy something on this list about once a week only - if you must!. If you normally reach for soft drinks, reach for water most of the time instead!. Switch to skim milk!. Give up sugary cereals!. Watch the portions and limit second and third helpings to vegetables and fruits only!. If you love gravies, sauces and dressings, learn to eat for the FOOD, not what the food is drenched in!. If you snack after dinner - limit it to fruits and veggies!. Weigh yourself first thing in the morning about once a week!. No matter how good you get at this, once in a while, you'll blow it big time, and pig out - that's called being human!. Say "Oh well!." And then get back on good behavior without giving it another thought!. None of this is hard, but you can't do it as a short-term project, you must make it a fact of how you life your life!. Oh - and if you really want that flat stomach, do 25 - 50 sit-ups (with your knees bent so you don't hurt your back) and the same number of crunches at least every other day!. Just learn to drop and get them out of the way while you're watching TV, first thing in the morning or before bed!. This should only take a few minutes!. I'd suggest you add a few modified (bent knees) pushups to this daily routine as well - I don't mean to embarrass you by saying this - but those pushups (along with a good bra) will keep your breasts in place through many years!.

So - along with these health habits, as you enter High School - if you can get into the habit of not gossiping, paying attention in class, doing your homework, and having a positive outlook on life, you'll be off to a great start!Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all at your height, you are an average weight!. If you want to shape up more ask your parents to let you speak with a fitness instructor to give you some tips!. Don't try to become a super skinny girl!. Remember, when we grow old it won't matter the exact shape of our tummy when we were in school!. Just be healthy!. run sweetie!.!.!.running is the best overall exercise you can do!. It burns tons of calories!.!.!.!.!.Crunches!.!.!.you wanna a smoking tummy, do weighted crunches!. Here is what you do!.!.!.


Get a yoga ball and 10-20lb weight!. Sit on the ball like you were going to do your regular crunch, but instead of just crossing your arms over you chest or behind you head, hold the weight across your chest and do you crunches!.!.!.!.you see results 10 times faster than you do with standard crunches!.!.!.hope that helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I am the same height as you!. I have always found roller blading a very successful method of toning, tightening and cardio!.

If you do a 7 mile per hour stint you will burn almost 800 calories!.

Your rear will look fantASStic! Your abs will work out nicely!.

Just try to stay away from fried junk and sugar drinks!.

Diets don't work, crash diets dont work, low carb doesnt work, low fat, no fat blah blah blah doesn't work!. Pills dont work!.!.!.

REAL FOOD, REAL EXERCISE AND A REAL DESIRE AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO!!

Well it basically the stuff adults do!. Eat right and exercise regularly!. Try to avoid sodas, sweets etc!. Go running!. Juts do some form of exercise and eat right and you will be in shape in no time!.

Crunches, start with 20, work your way up to 100 every night by ones 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, etc!. Skip every Wednesday!.

You're stomach will be washboard solid by August!.

You'll probably gain 10 lbs!. in muscle but you'll lose blubber!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well i suggest running it helps alot and a good diet which is no suger drinks or anything with suger in it and do not eat bread even if you think its good dont eat it and do like 200 curle ups every 5 hours and do 200 push ups every 5 hours tooWww@Answer-Health@Com

ok!. whatever you do, dont take pills!. because once you stop taking them, your gonna gain the weight back + more!.

you should start with a little cardio, some light weights and lots of sit ups!. If you stick with it, you should notice a difference within 2 weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I read on "msn news" or w!.e that milk supposedly has been proven to help reduce belly fat so look that up!.
Along with that, you should so some daily sit-ups and some cardio!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
