If we are told to plug our nose to drink, then how do we taste?!

Question: If we are told to plug our nose to drink, then how do we taste!?
When you drink something nasty (i!.e!. cough syrup)!. And, you plug your nose not to smell it or taste it, then how do we have the one sense of 'tasting'!? If you can't taste it by plugging your sense of smelling!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I remember being told once during some 'cooking' lesson that the school forced me to go to that 70% of what we think of as taste is actually smell, and only 30% is actually tasted by our taste buds in our mouths!.

So, it won't stop you tasting it but it will stop the smell which is where we get most of the flavour from anyway!. You can test it by eating something while holding your nose!.!.!. and you'll find you can hardly taste it at all!.

Does that answer your question!?
Hope it helped!.

Ahhh!!! All functions of our body vehicles work together!!! When one part is stifled, it effects all the others!.

Smokers who habitually breathe thru their mouths, often lose their sense of taste!. Same with folks with sinus/allergy dis-eases, same with when you have a cold/flu--food just doesn't appeal because you can't smell or taste well!. Often, people don't realize their senses have been dulled, because of psychological impressions that kick in to compensate--your bod wouldn't want you to quit fuelling altogether, so it uses this as a backup motivator!.

I sooo love the taste of good quality, well prepared, food/fuel--it provides a sense of hope that our creativity is at least evolving in some aspect!. lol

Good Journey!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
