Does it really bother you when actors play handicapped?!

Question: Does it really bother you when actors play handicapped!?
I was watching TV the other day, and the trailer for the next movie played (like, coming up next!.!.!.!.!.) and it was this movie called the Other Sister where Juliette Lewis and Giovanni Ribisi play two mentally handicapped people that fall in love!. It was unbelievably painful to watch just the commercial!. I thought the same thing when I saw Sean Penn in I Am Sam!. These actors are basically playing up to stereotypes of mannerisms and functionality issues of handicapped people, and no one is saying anything about it!. Am I the only person that this sickens!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I understand where you are coming from, but The Other Sister was a wonderful movie!. The moral of the story was that handicapped people want to be treated just like everyone else, with the same freedoms!.!.!.the freedom to be independent and the freedom to love!. I may be wrong, but I think that someone with a true mental handicap would have diffculty performing on the set of a movie!. I don't think they would be capable of remembering all the lines!. It also depends on the handicap as well!. It is a tough one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

um yes, I think you are!.!.!.!.it doesn't bother me, good gawd, it's the "least" of my worries!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
