I wish I had told my mum, but I was to scared to, a friend told my mum and she came to me, she was upset that I couldn't tell her, so my best advice is to sit her down and tell her, she might be upset but glad that you could tell her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Very possibly you're mum will be upset angry and blame herself, when she's calmed down she should be supportive and understanding!. Why do you feel you self harm, perhaps you can talk to someone not so close, school teacher, nurse or someone a adult you feel you can trust!. JimWww@Answer-Health@Com
my sister wrote it in a book with the title 'pls do not read'!. of course that made us all proceed to read it (her siblings), dont know how my parents found out though!.
they reacted very badly!. they sat her down and shouted on her, which made her cry like crazy!. they felt a great sense of achievement afterwards but we all knew their reaction was wrong!. luckily, my sister stopped after that, so maybe it did work after all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

OK, so I am on the other side of this, as the carer!. When I found out what she had been doing, I was really upset, partly because she had been doing it, but also because she felt she could not tell me!.

No matter how hard it is you have to tell her!. She's your mother and she cares about you!. Let her in!. Maybe she can help you with your depression!. Support is always best :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
