Question: What is the fastest way to get rid of constipation that doesnt hurt to much!?
i am 12 years old and have been having trouble with constipation for about a year now!. the thing that shocks me is that my mom always has a bunch of pain and i just have a very uncomfortable feeling in my butt lol! i have tried an enima sopository and the laxitive pills but theey all are painful after i am so sick of this and my moms says that i need more water but i know that i drink enough!. i mean i came in 8th in states for long jump!. i need water for that!. is it maybe because i dont drink milk!. i think im lack tose intollerent!. but thats not the point!. i just dont know what to do!. im begging for help pleese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You shouldn't take laxatives and all that yucky stuff!. Your body becomes dependent on them and makes the problem worse!.

If you are drinking enough water, the best thing to have is prunes!. I know they have a negative connotation, but they are really just a funny name for dried plums!. (Like a raisin is a dried grape)!. You can get prunes that are combined with dried cherries or dried apricots as well, and you can hardly taste the prunes!. Speaking of raisins, they are pretty good for you as well!.

Three or four prunes a day should solve the problem, or a small packet of raisins!.

If you have become dependent on those laxatives and suppositories, it may take a few weeks for your body to adjust!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get more fiber in your diet 3 grams or more per serving!.

Take stool softeners!. For example Colace but I buy the generic it's less than half of the price!. They are milder than laxatives and won't give you the gassy pain etc!. Also a fiber pill might be a good idea!.

I don't think it's because you don't drink milk, but you do need the calcium that's in milk!. You might consider a calcium vitamin if you don't drink milk at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try drinking kiwifruit juice and taking metamucil tablets!. Make sure that you eat 5 pieces of fruit a day and have a big helping of vegetables too!. Eat porridge for breakfast! That stuff is so good for you!. Do you eat a lot of meat!? Diets high in red meat lead to bad constipation!. And if you are lactose intolerant don't drink milk because it will only make it worse!. First of all, anything you do should be done with parental permission!. Plain mineral oil, one or two table spoonsfull once or twice a day, will soften the stool!. But this is for short term only!. Long term use of mineral oil impairs the absorption of vitamin A,D, E, and perhaps K!.

The next thing is to eat plenty of fiber in the form of cereals, fruits and vegetables, or perhaps a fiber supplement!. Prunes and prune juice are great natural laxatives!.Then, try to have a BM every day!. If these measures don't help, you should visit a doctor to make sure there is not a more serious underlying cause!. There are other laxatives you can take, but I hesitate to recommend them to a person as young as you because they should be taken with adult supervision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
