Answers:
Check with your local recruitment office!. I doubt if you will be able to join as aircrew but most ground trades should be open to you!.

I answered your question on this subject a day ago!.

http://uk!.answers!.yahoo!.com/question/ind!.!.!.

If you have had symptoms within the last four years, you cannot, that's for certain!.

You say you get it when you run a lot, you WILL run a lot during your training, all members of the RAF are expected to keep fit on a permanent basis THAT MEANS RUNNING, whether your a typist or a fighter pilot!.

In cases of emergency you could be called on to fight, have you any idea what it's like running carrying arms, supplies AND wearing a gas-mask at the same time, I have and I was just a photographer!.

Even if you don't fight, you have regular exercises wearing bilogical and gas warfare equipment, I was a fit non-smoker and I found it hell!.

You can't take your gasmask off if you have an asthma attack!.

As a matter of interest, Andy was wrong in his answer to your first question, remember I was in the RAF for twelve years, you seem to have forgotten that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

depends on the work you will be required to do!. Really cant see the RAF letting you fly at high alttitudes with asthma!. I would go to your local army centre to find out more!. They should be able to advise you
You will need to go through lots off fitness tests just to get in, including intense running, so this could be a problem!.

Good luck anywayWww@Answer-Health@Com
