What can I do to increase my iron levels?!

Question: What can I do to increase my iron levels!?
during pregnancy I had anemia, but I could not digest iron tablets, I tried 2 types both were the same, they ran straight through me, for days, it was so bad, I had to give the doc a stool sample, as they thought I had an infection but it was just the tablets! After I had given birth I was anemic also, they sent me home with a diet sheet which I tried to follow but I was so ill, I could barely eat, I had trouble breathing, my lips were white, I was exhausted and dizzy so a few days later I was rushed in for a blood transfusion!. I had my first post natal period a few weeks later at the same time I had the implanon implant contraceptive inserted, but I bled every day for 2 months, Im feeling tired again, Ive since had implanon out and bloods taken (get results tomorrow) but if I am low in iron what can I do!? and since I had a transfusion does this mean I might need another in the future!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
