Is the Dr. charged $25 when he calls in a prescription for me?!

I ran out of meds and called the dr!.s office to ask them to call in a refill!. Originally I was told that I was given a script for a year, so I was surprised it ran out!. It turns out it was for 6 months!. Now the dr has called and given me a lecture that he "mailed" a years script shortly after my visit (which was 6 mo ago) Which seems odd because at the visit he gave me the 6 month script!. He said that every time he has to call in a script, when his irresponsible patients lose them it costs him $25 bucks!.

Is he telling me the truth!?

I have never ever gone through such a ordeal (rude staff and all) to just have someone call something in!.

Is this a new way offices are being run or is this an unusual experience!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
