The best way, is to try to keep off the triggers!.
My wife have several triggers for her migraine (that can last up to 3 days)!.
The worst one for her, seem to be MSG (MonoSodium Glutamate)!. Wich is in (too) many food products, nowdays!.
Then also Red Wine, and the Red Grapes!.
Aspartame (a sweetener, in diet sodas, etc)!.
Instant migraine from those!.!.!.
She have other triggers, too, but not so severe as those!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

See a neurologist and get on a treatment plan!. There are so many triggers and reasons people get migraines!. Educate yourself!.
If you have a migraine now, try OTC migraine medicine!. Some people meditate!. Some have to sleep!. Sometimes the headaches won't go away for days!.

Excedrine has a headache medicine strictly for migraines!. I believe it is the only over-the-counter medication thats effective enough!. If this doesn't help, you may want to visit your doctor!.!.!.perhaps he/she can prescribe something stronger!.
