Question: Prednisone!? What are the strongest side effects, weight gain, or mood swings!?
So I have Bell's palsy and I was prescribed Prednisone and Valtrex, Lately since I started taking them I feel very depressed and just down right sad and sorry for myself!. I'm not usually like this and I just wonder if its a side effect, also it could be the fact that my face is all messed up and I just don't feel like anything has been going right this year!.
I also heard that the Prednisone will make you gain weight and I have been working really hard to loose weight so will it just increase my appitie or will it add weight by itself!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Other side effects are nervousness, thinning of skin and weakening of the bones, but that is over the long haul!. Steroidal therapy also causes increase in appetite that can lead to weight gain, if you aren't careful!. What I have cited are extreme cases!. Take the medicine as prescribed!.
