What is it like to be in a coma?!

Question: What is it like to be in a coma!?
I was wondering if anyone here has been in a coma!. I am curious about a couple of things!?
Is it true that you can hear things going on around you even though you are unable to respond!? If so, is this frustrating or are you in a peaceful state!?
When you awoke, were you aware of the time that had passed (wether it be two days or six months)!?

Thanks!.!.!.I hope this doesn't bring up any bad memories for anyone :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

There have been cases of people who remember events that happened while they were in a coma like who visited them the most and the dr or nurses voice!.!.!.!.

A coma is a deep state of unconsciousness, during which an individual is not able to react to their environment!. Someone in a coma cannot respond to any form of stimulation whatsoever!. Coma can be caused by an underlying illness, or it can result from head trauma!. A comatose person is still very much alive, but he or she is not simply asleep!. The brain wave activity in a comatose person is very different from that of a sleeping person; you can wake up a sleeping person, you can't wake a person in a coma!. There are reports of people waking from a coma and recounting a classic near-death experience!. Some reports involve the comatose patient being able to visualize and hear what is happening while in the comatose state!.

This web page includes two examples of NDEs occurring while the experiencer is in a coma!. One is from a woman named Derry Bresee, whose photo appears at the top of this web page!. The other comes from a highly publicized article in Lancet medical journal from the Dutch NDE study in 2001!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had open heart surgery where they paralyzed me after the operation!. I could not move or talk but I could hear everything that was going on around me!. It felt weird because it felt like I was outside my body looking (well hearing) things that were a million miles away!. After the drugs left my system I could remember everything that went on!. It was not frightening because they must have given me relaxing drugs aswell!.

Hope this helps a little!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its like being asleep, you dream and dont remember a thing!. The only be in a coma and can hear things around is if you take some paralyzing drug that makes your whole body numb as if your asleep but you can hear!. and its not technically a coma!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
