I would go to your doctor for a check up and a blood test!. There could be many reasons for feeling rough!. Getting a blood test will at least help you to start eliminating what it isn't and is the best way to find out if it is anything serious, however, try and keep your drink moderate and to the limits, boring but it does mess up your liver!. good luck chick and I hope you feel better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Excessive alcohol intake can harm the body's immune system in two ways!. First, it produces an overall nutritional deficiency, depriving the body of valuable immune- boosting nutrients!. Second, alcohol, like sugar, consumed in excess can reduce the ability of white cells to kill germs!. High doses of alcohol suppress the ability of the white blood cells to multiply, inhibit the action of killer white cells on cancer cells, and lessen the ability of macrophages to produce tumor necrosis factors!. One drink (the equivalent of 12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine, or 1 ounces of hard liquor) does not appear to bother the immune system, but three or more drinks do!. Damage to the immune system increases in proportion to the quantity of alcohol consumed!. Amounts of alcohol that are enough to cause intoxication are also enough to suppress immunity!.

No offense meant, but is it really 'a few glasses!?' Since wine doesn't tend to keep well after it's been opened, I'd wonder if you're opening a bottle a day and wasting the rest of it!.

One to two 8oz glasses of wine a day may be beneficial if all of your other lifestyle habits are healthy!.

A better question to ask if this feeling sick is new to you is, 'what's changed!?' - is it drinking wine!? getting a new job!? a new relationship!? has there been a change in weather!?

If this is a new thing, I'd recommend seeing your primary care physician!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Boozing will weaken your immune system but moderate drinking is OK!.

Perhaps reducing your sugar intake might help as sugar can weaken your immune system!. See items 1 and 5 in http://www!.rheumatic!.org/sugar!.htm !.Www@Answer-Health@Com
