What are some non-drug alternatives to sleeping better?!


Question: What are some non-drug alternatives to sleeping better!?
I usually have a hard time sleeping!. It takes me a while to fall asleep and I wake up often during the night for no reason!. I rarely have any caffine, and I don't take any drugs!. I like to meditate and do yoga before bed, so I am exhausted by the time I am ready for bed!. Is there anything else I can try!? Thanks!. I'm a healthy 19 year old female!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lavender helps with relaxation/sleep!. Warm bath before bed, read a book!. Don't have your alarm clock right where you can look at it, the LED light can keep you awake!. Keep the room cool, you sleep better when cool rather than warm!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My old psychologist told me to remove everything from my room excluding candles and the bed!. Do not use the room for -anything- apart from a quick meditation and then go straight to bed!. No TV, no computers no books!.

It is supposed to kick you into a sleep mode, but it didn't really work for me, since I have some deeper underlying sleep issues, but I know it's worked for some people!.

You just answered your own question!. You are exhausted, that's exactly what happens to my children when they go to sleep to late or if they had a too busy of a day!.

I'd say do the yogo a little earlier in the day so that you can rest before you go to sleep, or take a stroll to cool down, or a nice calming bath with lavander to sooth you!.

Melatonin is a natural supplement that will help you fall asleep!. It may not KEEP you asleep, but at least you'll be getting SOME!

Make sure you take it early enough!. Supposedly most do not have a lag the next a!.m!. but I do if I take it too late!. However, when I do take it, it's best if I have my p!.j!.s on because it usually knocks me out!.

Try this fruit drink it might work

125g Pineapple
125g Grapes
50g Lettuce

you can sleep very easy if you eat good food and drink enough water, and if you have rest of mind, try and be doing some kind of sports that will make you feel a little bit tired, watch boring movies, if you have a boyfriend, let him be telling you storiesWww@Answer-Health@Com

I drink camomile tea and get adjusted regularly, as well as exercise!. I have a very hard time sleeping if I haven't exercised!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know you said drug free but!.!.!. sometimes when I am having trouble getting to sleep I will take a couple of Tylenol Nighttime!.They work pretty well!. They contain an anti-histamine and it makes you drowsy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
