I can't tell you what the snapping has to do with but I am very concerned that hot water does not feel hot!. Lately a lot of people are answering tons of questions with "diabetes"!. Let me assure you, this is not diabetes!. You obviously have decreased sensation in your hands or at least decreased ability to feel hot sensation!. It is possible to still feel other things like cold or pain but lose the hot feelings!. However you did not state whether your hands still feel pain!. One of the real dangers of having a body part that does not feel heat is that you can get burned quite badly and not even realize that it is happening!. So be very careful about exposing your hands to hot water!. Test the water temp with your elbow or other body part before putting your hands into the water!. As for causes, it's got to be neurological!.!.!.!.possibly a neuropathy, severe carpal tunnel on both hands (I don't think it's that), severe Renaud's syndrome, but there is also some more ominous possibilities including a tumor in the spinal cord!. You really need to see a doctor within the next 7 days!. In the meantime, be careful with hot water!. I hope it turns out to be something simple and easy to fix, but your symptoms should not be ignored!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
