I've had these intermittently for years, and it seems that medical science doesn't have a complete understanding of why they occur!. I do know that, in some cases, they become a problem after lack of sleep, especially accumulated over several days!.
A doctor once told me that they might be caused by a calcium deficiency and that I could try taking calcium supplements!. (Presumably drinking extra milk and other diary products would achieve the same result) This did seem to work at first, but I've since given up on it!. Good sleep works for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
