When I'm caring for patients in the hospital who have to undergo the discomfort of having nothing to eat or drink prior to test, I usually set them up with little sponge swabs to keep their mouth moist, a gentle mouthwash like Crest Pro Health that doesn't burn, and on occasion !.!.!. if they just can't stand it anymore, a few !.!.!. and I mean FEW !.!.!. ice chips!. You may think that drinking a little water may not matter, but it can depending on what tests they plan to run!. The worse part is being told you can't do something!. It's like being told, "Don't think about a hippopotamus" !.!.!. and what comes to your mind!?!?!? Mmmmhummm! Same with don't eat or drink!.!.!. then that's all you want to do! Good luck with your tests!Www@Answer-Health@Com
