hey, there is nothing to be afraid of, i have had heaps of them and nothing has gone wrong, if you have the choice of gas or the needle, have the gas!.
i have had the needle i think twice and the second time they couldn't get it in properly, sorry to scare you more!. there is nothing to be afraid of!. its kinda fun really! ha-ha

Talk to your doctor if it's fare out, they can give you something to calm you if it's needed!. What type of surgery!? I know it's hard that's for sure and I've had a few but I just tried to keep my mind busy with, books, movies, out in the garden, horse back riding something go visit a friend!. Try and get as much information about what you are having done and how you will be put to sleep, or made pain free!. I think once you have all the information it wont be as scarry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
listen to music, read a book, play games on your pc; Anyway do something that will abstract your mind off the operation!.!.!.
