Question: Please give advice, I'm afraid to visit a doctor!?
Hi!. I'm a total doctor phobic after a bad experience!. I went in once for insomnia and was put on an inappropriate battery of psych drugs :( and I'm afraid to go back!.
I've been having terrible headaches lately and they are usually accompanied by nausea!. I would guess they are migraines!?
What would a doctor do for me in this situation!?

These could be migraines, but first have you changed anything in your diet!? You may be having an allergic reaction!.
Next, have you ever had any neck or back problems!? I was getting headaches due to nerves in the back of my neck being pressed upon by the bones in my neck!.!.!.hence going to a chiropractor!.
Have you had any dental work lately, or have you had any problems with wisdom teeth!? These could cause pressure being so close to the brain!.
If you don't think any of these are relevant, GO to a doctor! Explain what is going on, that you don't just want to just be put on drugs (are you still on those insomnia drugs!? look at the side effects) and that you want a cat scan!. But first of all look for a reputable doc, one that has a good clientele and knows what they're doing!.

It does sound like possible Migraine!. I have them too and none of the over the counter meds work at ALL for me!. The only thing I have found (after trying TONS of things) is Maxalt (a "triptan" drug) for the actual headache!.
This is one your Doc will probably have to handle if you want real relief!.

Try going to a chiropractor!. They do spinal adjustments and other adjustments that seem to be good for what ails you!. My daughter has headaches and they usually go away after a treatment!. Also magnesium from the health food store is supposed to work wonders on migraines!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
They may do a CAT SCAN to rule out any types of tumors or they may do blood tests the make sure there is nothing causing the headache but if it turns out to be migrains they can prescribe specific meds for that !.!.!.!.
you may want to watch the foods you eat !.!.!.!. lthere are certain foods that make yo more prone to headaches or migrains!.!.!. I can remember what they are !. You can go to webmd!.com and look up migraines or headaches !.!.!.!. hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try Excedrin for migraines!.!.!.!.my doctor recommends them and they are fantastic!Www@Answer-Health@Com
probly look at it and give you meds for it!. but if your not 100% comfurtable taking them then go to a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just recently went to the doctors, my sons had a virus, we are not often sick!. then i caught it!.!.!.!. then i noticed a golf ball sized lymph node in my armpit!.!.!. i received antibiotics but stayed for one month!.!.!. they said do biopsy!.!.!. i also found that i had lice!.!. mind you im clean so i think school e!.t!.c!.!.!.!. my lymph node is still up!.!. but i have just endured a biopsy yesterday!.!.!. and found that it is a reactive node much to my releif!.!.!.!. i was scared stiff of the results but im glad i went!.!.!. i had done a bit of research during this and this is what i learned!.!.!. that nodes can be reactive!.!.!. that lice or skin and cuts can cause your nodes to flare!.!.!. the bigger the node the bigger the reaction which means your immune system has jumped on the problem which is a good thing!.!.!. BUT here is a test!.!.!. if your node moves about and is mobile and it is soft your are fairly safe!.!.!. Diseased nodes are mostly hard and they dont move!.!. say lymphoma perhaps a group of nodes mat together!.!.!. its better to be brave and check early than sit and wait for months!.!. if perhaps it is bad you would rather deal with it now rather than later and become sick!.!.!.!.
