Question: New nipple piercings and swimming!?
Hello! I'm going to be going to a theme park for my birthday (water park included) and my boyfriend got his nipples pierced a little over a week ago (June 16, last monday!.!.!. so it's been 10 days)!.
I want to go to the park next week, giving which would mean that at that time, he'll have had the piercings for 16 or 17 days!. They seem to be healing up nicely!.
Will it be safe for him to swim in a pool/go on water slides, etc!? Seems like it's not enough time for them to heal, and he didn't recieve ANY aftercare instructions (went to kind of a crappy place, unfortunately)!.
I just don't want them to get infected or hurt!. Thanks for you help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

if the skin is healed over and not sore or raised red to touch he should be OK after a couple of weeks!. he could spray them with savlon before and after just to be doubly sure!. but be careful on waterslides and things, most of the places near me dot let you on them with ANY kind of jewellry, as if they catch on something!.!.!.you hurt, you tear, you bleed!.
oh and in future if you have any other piercings, try and go somewhere reputable, it is possible to catch hepatitis and infections from dirty piercing needles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He should be fine!. It can take a couple of months for them to heal completly but, the water will not hurt the nips!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
