Question: My girlfriend says she keepts having an empty, bloated feeling!?
My girlfriend keeps having an empty, but bloated feeling whenever she waits too long before eating!. Usually it happens AFTER she eats!. She says her stomach bloats out in the middle of her abdominals, the feeling sometimes traveling upwards toward her chest!. She thinks it might have something to do with stomach acids, so she takes antacids!. What's wrong!? How can I help her prevent this from happening again!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like IBS-Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Spastic Colon!. And yes there is medicine for it!. It's manageable with diet and watching certain foods!. Especially Dairy Products!. Good Luck! I suggest going to an Internist(Internal Medicine Doctor) or a Gastrologist!. And no I'm not sure how to spell the last specialist!. I have IBS Syndrome!. It's not death threatening!. she is probably eating too fast or scarfing it down, she is taking in too much air and thats the only way it can escape, have her eat food slowly or slower and try not to talk too much when she is eating!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
