Question: What's the cost of a brain MRI with contrast!?
I have been set up next week for an MRI brain scan with & without contrast!. I do have insurance but what is the "normal" actual total charge for that!? Someone told me $15,000 & i nearly died!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It widely varies!. I had one done in a hospital in WI and the charge was $3800!.00 to my insurance!. However, also in WI, in the same city, there is a free standing MRI business that charges $600!.00 for ALL MRIs, no matter where they are!. They have a flat rate!.
The $15,000!.00 charge seems pretty steep, and I would guess that the person that told you that was just guessing and didn't have any personal knowledge!.
You could call the hospital or place that you are planning on having it done and ask to speak to the billing dept!. They should be able to tell you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
