My right knee hurts after getting up from squatting?!
Question: My right knee hurts after getting up from squatting!?
I'm trying to increase my vertical jump for basketball at the moment and im trying out some squats (without weights)!. I can seem to squat down fine but as soon as i put pressure on both my legs as i come up, my right knee hurts!.
Same with lunges, i can lunge up and down with my left knee comfortably but when i try with my right, it hurts!?
Are there any ways i can solve this!?

Could be a number of things from my guess!.
1!.) You could be pinching a nerve!. If you're body and leg are aligned the wrong way, it could be pinching a nerve when you do the squats!.
2!.) Since you run alot, the running puts pressure on your cartilidge!. I played t-ball and softball for YEARS and my knees are horrible now!. I started taking a pill called glucosamine which repairs cartilidge!. So maybe you can try that
3!.) Do you do strectching exercises!? If you don't maybe your muscles aren't ready to work yet!.
Either way, your best bet would be to talk to a trainer and doctors!. If you continue doin the squats with the pain you might damage something!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to manual therapist, it could be depnding on age, a few things, possibly the tracking of your patella is malaligned, meniscus, muscular, ligamentus!. sometimes manual therapist will not only give you a dignosis but treat imbalance of muscles etc!. Pain is a warning sign!.!.Its your bodys way in saying dont do that to me!.!.!. If you insist on doing squating then use knee wraps, not cheap ones but Power lifters wraps!.!. If you do not look after your knees then you will suffer in later life!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
