Question: Why do I keep getting ulcers on my tongue!?
About 8 mths ago I had one which appeared about 6 or 7 mths before I had it surgically removed by an Oral Surgeon!. Now I have another one very close to where the old one use to be!. It is whitish in color and not apparent all the time but I do feel it and it hurts!. Sometime I even bite it by accident!. The procedure was pretty bad and I'd hate to go through it again!. Please is there a DR!. out there that can explain to me what is going on!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Jenk!. A common cause of these types of problems is Celiac Disease!. Celiac Disease is an autoimmune disease caused by an allergic reaction to the proteins in wheat, rye and barley called glutens/gliadins!.
Ask your doctor for a referral to a specialist in Celiac Disease to get tested for it!.

I had something similar caused by medication I take to control my rheumatoid arthritis!. Folic acid has stopped that!. You should consult a doctor and try to determine the cause!.
