i think im having a urinary tract infection, but my doctor is booked till next week!.!.but im leaving out of town in few days for 2 weeks!. are there any thing i can buy off the counter at any drug stores!! The ER is not an optionWww@Answer-Health@Com

First off, you need to call the doctor's office and tell them that you have a UTI and waiting a week is not an option! Tell them if he can't see you than you'd appreciate him just calling in a prescription of antibiotics to the pharmacy!. They will often do this, especially when they hear you describe your symptoms of urinary burning, frequency, and urgency!.
In the meantime, drink a lot of water, and if there's a GNC or a Vitamin Shoppe near you then you can get D-Mannose, which really helps cleanse the urinary tract!. Also you can get Pyridium, which will turn you pee orange and stain your panties but can help relieve some of the symptoms (not the infection, just the symptoms)!. Some people say cranberry juice, but that never worked for me!. Get the D-mannose and get on your doctor's case!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have a urinary tract infection you will need to see the doctor because you will need antibiotics!. In the meantime you can buy some AZO tabs which are over the counter!. They will stop the burning and pain when you urinate but be aware this will only mask the symptoms!. You will still have the infection until you start taking antibiotics!.
