An abnormal pap smear is caused usually by changes in the cervical cells!. That can be from cervical cancer, infection, HPV, or even having sex just before your test!. I haven't been able to find any information about it being linked to endometriosis!. All it means is that the doctor has to do further testing to figure out why you had an abnormal pap!.
