I was wondering why ladies can't have a kind of cup inside them, that collects blood when they have a period, and that blood be used for transfusions!.

Hi,That would be a fantastic idea,no messy pads etc,only problem is that blood would have clots and a lot of waste in it,as the lining of the uterus cleans itself when women have a period!.Great idea though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you could collect only fresh blood it would be fine!. But the vaginal bleeding is additionally with the sluffing off of the uterine lining which would be a little hard to sort out from the fresh blood and the old brown dead blood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the blood is clotted and contaminated, and shed from a uterus with epithelial cells and mucous and other bacterial stuff, would you want to be transufused with that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
