I used to have a really hard time around people too!. What it eventually took was for me to realize that even the most together-seeming people are really just people!. They make mistakes and have problems just like anyone else!.
I'm still a bit shy, but nowadays I feel more comfortable being myself, flaws and all, and just letting people think anything they feel like!. The people who are mature and patient enough to get to know me tend to be pretty wonderful!.
It's easy to get insecure about things like acne, and it's a pretty normal thing for young people to feel insecure about!. I think everyone I know now as an adult (myself included) would admit that at least one or two times as a teenager they broke down and cried about an acne outbreak, or something else that just seemed unbearably embarrassing at the time!. But really, that's half of what being a teenager is about!. You learn from this stuff!. Hopefully what you learn is that in the end, acne, posture, dandruff, weight, bad-hair days, or whatever is just a load of BS!. It doesn't define you or anyone else as a person, and you shouldn't let it define you or anyone else as a person, and anyone else who seriously defines you by something as completely superficial and outside your control as how many little temporary bumps you happen to have on your face today, is being completely immature and really isn't someone who's worth investing time in being around!.

Oh, and yes, I'm pretty sure they do prescribe stuff for acne these days!. I've also heard that taking zinc supplements can help quite a bit with acne (just be aware that taking zinc on an empty stomach can make you nauseous!.)

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Prescribing antibiotics for acne is a frequent task for doctors!. I am a nurse at church camp and we have several teenagers on acne antibiotics every week!. While you are there, talk to the doctor about you unreasonable level of anxiety!. He should refer you to a competent therapist, and possibly prescribe a medication for it!. Medication alone will not solve this issue, although a lot of doctors want to believe it will!. You also need the help of a therapist trained in dealing with this issue, so insist on it!. And if you can't afford the therapy, your town should have a local mental health association to direct you to someone either free or at a majorly reduced rate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am not a psychologist but i would (and i am not being mean) but you might have some anxiety issues, which is more common then you think and totally manageable! if i were you i would look into talking with a psychologist, it's not as bad as you think, and believe it or not it will be OK!!!!

As to the acne - there are lots of products that may help - a dermatologist would be a place to start!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
